Product details

The wine

In the past, Olivier du Mas Jullien produced "La Méjanne", a sweet wine made from partially fermented grape must from Petit Manseng passerillé grapes. His path led him to discontinue this cuvée and part with this plot, which he offered to Benoît Braujou. The latter decided to go against the grain and experiment with this grape variety in pellicular maceration, and the domaine's first orange wine was born! A golden color, with exotic notes of lychee, fresh quince, dried fruit and spices, which linger freshly on the palate, with powdery, long-lasting tannins... A wine to enjoy with spicy, oriental and Asian dishes.

The estate

A great-grandfather a cooper, a grandfather with 200 beehives and vines, a father a winemaker, Benoît Braujou has always lived among the vines, in the village of Saint jean de Fos, near the Hérault river, today the heart of the Terrasses du Larzac appellation. With and thanks to his father, he bought his first plots of land, deciding to settle in the cradle of his childhood, close to his family, after gaining valuable experience with other winemakers in Alsace, and with Yves Cuilleron in Côte-Rôtie. Armed with his new knowledge, the adventure began, and Domaine Fons Sanatis was born. Like his father, he refuses to use chemicals in his vineyards, preferring to use his eyes and attention to strengthen the vines and enable them to fight and flourish healthily. He vinifies in concrete and stainless-steel vats, with a short spell in foudre for some of his red wines. These wines are sincere, honest, generous and straightforward, just like the winemaker!
