The wine
The "B...d'Agniane" cuvée has been the white wine of the Fons Sanatis estate since its inception. Over the years, it has continued to evolve, according to the vintage and Benoît Braujou's desires, to return today to a blend that we are particularly fond of. Aromatic Vermentino from the Aniane terroir is enhanced by a touch of Terret Bourret, an incredibly fresh native grape variety. And a lot happens when you put your nose in the glass! Bewitching floral and exotic notes follow on the palate, carried by a natural freshness rare for an "unadulterated" white from the region! A lovely white that beckons to the table, with white meat or fleshy fish!
The estate
A great-grandfather a cooper, a grandfather with 200 beehives and vines, a father a winemaker, Benoît Braujou has always lived among the vines, in the village of Saint jean de Fos, near the Hérault river, today the heart of the Terrasses du Larzac appellation. With and thanks to his father, he bought his first plots of land, deciding to settle in the cradle of his childhood, close to his family, after gaining valuable experience with other winemakers in Alsace, and with Yves Cuilleron in Côte-Rôtie. Armed with his new knowledge, the adventure began, and Domaine Fons Sanatis was born. Like his father, he refuses to use chemicals in his vineyards, preferring to use his eyes and attention to strengthen the vines and enable them to fight and flourish healthily. He vinifies in concrete and stainless-steel vats, with a short spell in foudre for some of his red wines. These wines are sincere, honest, generous and straightforward, just like the winemaker!
