The wine
The Bourgogne de "La Corvée Guichard" is made from old Pinot Noir vines dating from 1976, located in an old river bed with rolled pebbles and fresh, light soil. Bewitching notes of black fruit, carried on the palate by a velvety texture, beautifully enhanced by a dazzling freshness. We love it!
The estate
Originally from Saône et Loire, Burgundy-born Brice Martin works in the conventional sector at Millot in Nuits Saint Georges. A lover of natural wines, he gradually leaned towards the good side of the force and acquired 2 parcels in 2014, one in the Côteaux Bourguignon appellation, the other in Burgundy. Gamay and Pinot Noir are thus vinified using indigenous yeasts, with no inputs at vinification, allowing only a mini-dose of sulfite at bottling. He recently acquired a 0.06-hectare plot in Savigny les Beaune... A confidential winemaker, as you may have gathered, whom Grappe is proud to follow vintage after vintage.
